FAQs

WHO SHOULD ATTEND THE ACADEMY?

The Academy is designed for teachers and school leaders in public, independent, and charter schools worldwide who want to better understand elements of the science of learning. Our audience is mostly composed of educators in Pre-kindergarten through early collegiate level classes. You should feel comfortable attending even if your current role is not in the classroom. School counselors, instructional specialists, and senior administrators also attend the Academy.

HOW MUCH DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE SCIENCE OF LEARNING, OR MIND, BRAIN, AND EDUCATION SCIENCE (MBE), TO ATTEND THE ACADEMY?

The Academy is appropriate for those who are just starting on the journey to understand MBE, or those who are looking to learn more in order to set their professional development goals for the coming school year.

HOW CAN MY SCHOOL BECOME AN ACADEMY PARTNER SCHOOL?

Academy Partner Schools make a commitment to send at least three attendees to the Academy for each of three consecutive years. Ideally, a school’s attendee group would include at least one school leader each year. Attendees can participate virtually or in person to meet that commitment. Interested schools should email us at academy@thecttl.org for more information.
