Is there a specific order in which teachers or school leaders should use the CTTL’s tools and resources?
As our teacher journeys illustrate, there is more than just one way to partner with the CTTL and use the resources and tools we offer. The CTTL recommends starting with our free NECD diagnostic, which helps educators assess their current understanding of Mind, Brain, and Education Science principles. This diagnostic provides personalized insights and recommendations for professional growth.
From there, educators can choose from various pathways based on their specific needs.

I think my school’s faculty would benefit from a workshop with the CTTL. What is the first step?
The first step is to contact our client services manager, Jay Tilley, at jtilley@thecttl.org . Be prepared to speak with him about your school’s goals for your teachers and students so that he can make the best recommendations for how we can partner with you.
Who leads the CTTL’s workshops with partner schools?
The CTTL workshops are led by our team of facilitators, who are all active K-12 teachers. We believe in the value of teachers learning from each other.
The early career teacher profile is from the perspective of an elementary school teacher. Does the CTTL have resources for early childhood teachers?
Yes, a member of our research and development team is focused specifically on the needs of early childhood and elementary educators. We have designed resources and tools for early childhood educators, including our MBE Strategies Placemat for Early Childhood Educators for teachers who attend our annual Science of Teaching and School Leadership Academy.
Does the CTTL work directly with students?
