National Diversity Directors Institute

June 22-24, 2015

This 3-day institute is facilitated by a national team of noted diversity practitioners.

Designed specifically for those who are diversity directors, deans of multicultural education, diversity coordinators, or in similar positions, this institute will focus on how to use such positions to create and sustain systemic change towards equity and justice in our schools. Scope and design of role (including job description), strategic planning, developing and implementing key initiatives, sharing of best practices, and networking for broad support across constituencies will be threads in the curriculum, along with an exploration of the socio-cultural and historical underpinnings of social justice and multicultural education. Participants will graduate the institute with firm action plans for the year ahead and a continuing network of support from participants and institute faculty.

Fees: $935
