THE CTTL PRESENTS
SCIENCE OF TEACHING AND SCHOOL LEADERSHIP ACADEMY
JULY 14-17, 2025
9 a.m. – 4 p.m. ET
ABOUT THE SCIENCE OF TEACHING & SCHOOL LEADERSHIP ACADEMY
Attend in person at St. Andrew’s Episcopal School, MD or Virtually.
The Science of Teaching and School Leadership Academy is a dynamic, four-day professional learning experience designed by teachers, for teachers that leverages the Science of Learning to help all students flourish and achieve their highest potential. More than a conference, this is an immersive, research-informed journey that equips educators with the most promising research, strategies, mindsets, and tools from the field of Mind, Brain, and Education (MBE).
Through interactive workshops, expert coaching, student voices, and case study work, attendees will bridge the gap between research and practice, leaving with concrete, research-informed strategies they can immediately apply to their teaching and school leadership. The Academy’s unique approach—using the Science of Teaching and Learning to teach the Science of Teaching and Learning—ensures that every session models the very principles that drive deeper student engagement, retention, and success.
The Academy offers enriching opportunities for educators who work with students from early childhood to college classrooms. It is designed for teachers and school leaders in all school settings — public, charter, private, state, and international. The Academy will:
- Increase your understanding of the field of Mind, Brain, and Education and its domains that include: Assessment, attention, emotion and cognition, desirable difficulties, executive functions, feedback, knowledge, literacies, memory, metacognition, motivation, mindsets for learning, neuroplasticity, and play.
- Connect you to an international network of teachers and school leaders who are committed to understanding and applying the science of learning.
- Develop your skills and confidence in translating research and strategies into practice.
- Provide opportunities to hear directly from students of varying grade levels about the value of having teachers who are MBE practitioners.
“The Academy was a true celebration of collaboration and knowledge sharing. The energy and enthusiasm displayed by everyone in attendance were truly inspiring. I am grateful for the connections made and the valuable insights gained during the event.”
