Register For the Academy

Teachers and school leaders can participate in the Academy as individuals, though preference will be given to teams of teachers/school leaders from the same school as we know that returning to your home school with colleagues equally committed to integrating research informed teaching leads to a greater chance of individual teacher and school-wide change.

Academy Tuition:
The registration fee includes full participation in all Academy activities, materials, light breakfast and lunch during each on-site Academy day and two evening receptions. Academy faculty will also provide mentoring support during the school year.

**After May 30th, no refunds will be awarded for Academy registration fee**


CEUs, Graduate Credit, and Micro-credentials:

CEUs are available from Johns Hopkins University's School of Education for an additional cost. You may also earn graduate credit for the Academy through the Institute for Graduate Studies (additional costs apply). Additionally, participants can earn micro-credentials from Digital Promise (no additional cost). When or after registering, indicate your interest in earning CEUs, graduate credit, and micro-credentials by emailing Julia Dean ( 


PLEASE NOTE: To avoid the processing fee for online registration, you are encouraged to write a check for the original amount to the Center for Transformative Teaching and Learning and mail your payment to Julia Dean, St. Andrew's Episcopal School 8804 Postoak Rd, Potomac, MD 20854.


“Partner School” Program Tuition
A limited number of public, public charter and independent school can apply to become Science of Teaching and School Leadership Academy partner schools. Partner schools commit to sending at least two teachers and at least one school leader to each of the Academy’s first three years. The cost is a minimum of $2100 ($700 per. teacher/school leader team that does not include cost of CEU’s or graduate credit, travel or lodging).
