9:15-10:30 am       The Teaching Brain: A Framework for the Day

 Led by Vanessa Rodriquez: author of The Teaching Brain: An evolutionary trait at the heart of education. Founder of The Teaching Brain Project and an advanced doctoral candidate in Human Development & Education and former Instructor of Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She was one of the first recipients to receive the prestigious Harvard Initiative for Learning and Teaching award for her research on the teaching brain.

10:30-11:00 am Student Panel: The Schools We Want, the Schools We Deserve

                                      Moderator: Dara Feldman, author The Heart of Education:  Bringing Joy, Meaning and Purpose Back to Teaching and Learning

11:00 am-12:00pm  Idea Speed Pitch Session #1

           This unique session is like speed dating with ideas in education. Participants will attend three different 15-minute presentations on ideas that are                       currently working in classrooms, schools, or programs. Click here to apply to present your idea!

                                      Moderator: Glenn Whitman, Director of the Center for Transformative Teaching & Learning

                                      Kristin Gagnier, the Outreach and Evaluation Specialist at the Science of Learning Institute and as Assistant Research Scientist in                                                               the Department of Cognitive Science at Johns Hopkins University.         

                                      Emily Hanford, Education Correspondent at American RadioWorks 

                                      Eric Westendorf, Founder and CEO of LearnZillion

                                      Julie Wilson,  Founder and Executive Director of Institute for the Future of Learning
